Portland Maine based jewelry designer Em Robertson launched her first collection in 2013.
During her time at UMaine where Em received a BA in Business Marketing, she took a semester to study at Cal State Monterey Bay. Em went straight to NYC from there interning at Macy's Corporate Marketing in the PR department. This drove her passion to work in the fashion industry and led her to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles to study Merchandise Marketing (after enjoying a fun summer exploring Boston). Em's love for accessories grew during her first position after college as an Assistant Jewelry Buyer for Bebe Inc. She then worked for Look Los Angeles, a prestigious celebrity product placement firm in Hollywood, where she dressed celebrities for red carpet events and worked with top fashion editors. The beach started calling her name where Em worked for Dawn Baker, and assisted in creating the boutique's first jewelry line. Travels and moves didn't stop there, it was time to head north to Canada and help luxury jeweler, Hillberg & Berk, open and manage their Flagship store. Designing jewelry started during fashion school, and continued till it was finally time to come full circle and setup shop back in Maine.
Em's vision was to create inspiring jewelry that appeals to the free-spirited, creative, confident woman, who has the desire to travel, go in the direction of her dreams and live life with no boundaries. When designing Em draws upon her travels to create bold, yet simple versatile jewelry to be worn everyday.
Mprint jewelry is created in the U.S. between Rhode Island and Maine. It is very important to Em to stay local, give back to community charities, and use reputable vendors.
